Antoni Gaudí is a very influential architect that throughout his lifespan created, built and designed many peculiar buildings. He is most famous for his incorporation on geometric shapes and mosaics. Most of his buildings were somewhat influenced by organic sources and nature which greatly developed throughout his different designs. Gaudí also worked in a time where eclecticism was displayed in most buildings but he developed modernisme to a style difficult to identify. Many of his works have tinted windows, enormous amounts of colour along the walls and works of forged iron.
Gaudí has many of his works attracting tourists, inspiring designers and even listed as World Heritage Sites. This just shows how important and influential Gaudí has become. |
